Information about the monument: Sinan took advantage of the slope on the site and designed a hospice and a caravanserai with entrances on different streets. Using the available space under the Hospice (Darüşşifa) section, the lower floor was originally designed and used as the Caravanserai. The Caravanserai spaces are now used as storage and workshop areas, in a state of disrepair. They are now closed to visitors.
