Information about the monument: The Hospice section of the Süleymaniye Complex was in public use as the Museum of Turkish Islamic Arts from 1914 to 1983. It is now used as a restaurant. With a two-storey facade facing Vefa Street, Sinan took advantage of the sloping site and designed a hospital and a caravanserai here with entrances on different streets. At the Hospice level, the plan is solved around two adjacent courtyards. The lower floor was originally used as a caravanserai, while the upper level was used as a hospital. Both units are now closed to visitors.
