  • Information about the monument: The mosque is another well preserved architectural example which reflects original characteristics of Sinan’s architecture. In spite of the covering over the portico with aluminum framing and some other haphazard restoration efforts over the years, the mosque has maintained many of the features of its original design. All the details in the building reflect the highly refined workmanship of its time: the marble minbar, the tiles of the mosque wall facing the portico, and the stalactite vaulting are all the best examples to 16th century details and art. The open mausoleum has straightforward and geometric lines, almost reminding one of modern simplicity
