Information about the monument: The Mosque and the minaret of the Complex had been severely damaged by a series of earthquakes in 1719, 1814, 1894, and recently in 1999. There is an ungoing restoration on this complex. Before the restoration started, the madrasa section, built around the courtyard, had been in public use as “The Traditional Handcrafts Education and Application Center”, administered by the Municipality of Fatih. Its original architectural features have remained unchanged until today.
