Information about the monument: Sinan built the madrasa together with the mosque for the Grand Admiral Sinan Pasha. These buildings have been quite influential in making this neighborhood very significant for all mariners. The original complex included the madrasa and double bath house, in addition to the mosque. The bath house was demolished during the vast reconstruction campaign in Istanbul in 1957. The madrasa surrounds the courtyard of the mosque. The repairs during 1970-1972 have somewhat altered the original form of the building, with a wooden structure over the portico.
