Information about the monument: Located within burial area of the Hagia Sophia, in all its visual and structural simplicity, the Şehzadeler Tomb is a pure example of the classical style, with most of its original details intact. All of its architectural features, except the painted tracery applied during a later period, reflect 16th century characteristics. Since it was built next to the Tomb of Murat III, it was somewhat cramped between two larger tombs and a blind window was converted into a closet. Four sons and two daughters of Murat III are buried in this tomb. It is not open to visitors at this time.
