Information about the monument: The Madrasa surrounds three sides of the courtyard of the Sokullu Mehmet Pasha Mosque with its 22 rooms. The fountain in the center of the courtyard is one of the best examples of decoration and highly refined marble workmanship of the classical Ottoman Period. It has retained all of its original features and refinement, except for the roof of the fountain. The roof structure is in the baroque style, typical of the period of Sultan mahmut II. Most of the Madrasa is not in use, except one room occupied by the imam of the Mosque.
