  • Information about the monument: This is a double baths plan type building, built by Sinan for Sokullu Mehmet Pasha, during 1568-1569. Since is located across from the Üç Şerefeli Mosque, it is also known as the "Üç Şerefeli Baths (Hamam)" or "Double Baths (Çifte Hamam)". According to its 16th century classical double baths plan type, men's and women's entrances are separate. The men's section is reminiscent of the monumental portico of the Haseki Hürrem Sultan Bath House. The shops which were originally part of the structure were lost when a portion of the Bath House was torn down during road construction. Its interior space is still quite impressive. Most recent restoration was towards the end of the 1970s. The Bath House is still open and in use today, operated privately.
