  • Information about the monument: This mosque was built following the death of Damat Ferhat Pasha, who was a famous calligrapher as well as a statesman. It is located within the complex with the same name. In spite of the simplicity of its architecture, the single-domed interior space still creates a monumental effect on the observer. It has retained its original characteristics well; however, the portico was enclosed with a wooden structure after its construction; the royal gallery inside is also a later addition. It is thought to be a later period work of Sinan.
