  • Information about the monument: The Darülhadis is located by the eastern corner of the mosque. Once the School for Koranic Studies, it is now used as the “Museum of Turkish Islamic Arts”, operated by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. The museum displays some of the best works of the art of painted and stenciled decorations of the Ottoman period from the Selimiye, arms and objects of daily use from various periods of Ottoman history. It is open every day except Monday. Entrance to the museum costs only 2 YTL. The courtyard, with its arcades now covered over with a wooden structure, is closed to public at this time.
