  • Information about the monument: Pertev Mehmet Pasha served as Vizier during the reigns of Kanuni Sultan Süleyman and Selim II. Sinan built a Complex in Izmit and the tomb in Eyüp for Pertev Mehmet Pasha. His tomb, which has a rectangular plan, has an open top. It may have been enclosed with a wooden roof structure at the turn of the 20th century. It is closed to visitors however the interior can easily be viewed through the window openings.
