Information about the monument: The Ali Pasha Caravanserai was built to provide revenue for the Semiz Ali Pasha Complex in Babaeski. With six entrances, it is a 300-metre barrel vaulted bazaar. It features 146 individual shops both inside and outside along its exterior walls. It was restored in 1945 and put to public use again after a long period of disrepair. It suffered fire damage on September 28 1992 and subsequent restoration work was completed in 1997. It remains in daily use as a vibrant commercial centre.
